Our Story

In response to changing market trends and the resurgence of freestyle and off-piste skiing, the founders decided to bring the free-spirited ethos of snowboarding to two boards. Movement was born.

Decades later, the same obsession with the mountains drives everything we make.

This year, Movement acquires its own ski production facility, giving the brand full control over manufacturing. The factory has also produced skis for other well-known brands, including Black Crows and Black Diamond.

Launched in 2009, the Fly was one of the first true backcountry skis of its era. A big double rocker design that helped define a new generation of freeride skiing.

The X-Series was one of the first ultralight touring skis, featuring North TPT technology — a carbon fiber construction inspired by Alinghi racing boats.

The Alp Tracks, the next generation of the X-Series, brought a lighter build with a radical, newschool shape and skiability ahead of its time, all in an ultralight carbon construction. Originally launched exclusively for the Swiss market, it went on to become one of Movement's most iconic skis worldwide.

The 3 Tech was one of the first helmets to meet three safety norms at once, combining light weight with durability to suit skiers, cyclists, and climbers alike.

After many years in Tunisia, Movement relocates its production to the Czech Republic and Switzerland. This move reflects the brand's renewal: new team, new factories, new stories, always rooted in heritage.
