Starting with the 2025/2026 season, our Alp Tracks range no longer leaves the Alps to be manufactured: it's now handcrafted in Switzerland, in the Val de Bagnes, at our new partner First Track.
First Track, a different take on ski manufacturing
Founded in 2018 in Le Châble, First Track first made a name for itself as an R&D and prototyping hub before moving into series production a few years later. Its philosophy: manufacture locally, in small batches adapted to demand, rather than offshoring production abroad like most of the ski industry has done for decades.
The result: First Track is now the only factory in Switzerland producing for several brands at once. The project is backed by the canton of Valais and local investors, aiming to modernize the industry while bringing alpine craftsmanship back to where it belongs.
What this means for Movement
Until now, our Alp Tracks production was based in Tunisia. By choosing First Track, we're bringing manufacturing back to the heart of the Alps, right where the skis are designed and tested, and now also built. The rest of our collection continues to be produced in close collaboration with one of Europe's most renowned ski manufacturing partners, ensuring the same standard of quality across the full range.
Concretely, every Alp Tracks pair produced at First Track carries the Swiss Made label: a guarantee of precision, traceability, and local craftsmanship, matching the standard we hold every model to.
More than just a supplier
For us, this partnership goes beyond logistics. First Track shares our vision: a ski industry that's closer to the mountains, closer to skiers, and more mindful of its environmental footprint. Working with a team that lives and breathes the Alps, just a few kilometers from our favorite playgrounds, is also a way of bringing our production back to what really matters.
This partnership marks a major milestone for Movement, a Swiss brand born in Vevey: the return to local manufacturing, rooted in the mountains that have always inspired us.
