Movement is happy to announce that Paul Parker is joining their team.

Parker has a long history of product development in telemark, backcountry, ski mountaineering, and freeride. Parker was one of the early American tele skiers in the early 1970. He is the author Free-Heel Skiing, considered a bible for the sport, published in 3 English and one Italian edition.

Parker has a long history of product development, including the first backcountry ski product line at Chouinard Equipment, technical clothing at Patagonia, and was for many years with the small, innovative Italian ski company, Tua Ski.

He was with Scarpa for the conception of the first plastic tele boot, the Terminator. Today Parker is Ski Boot Product Manager for Garmont, growing a market-leading product line for freeride, ski mountaineering, and telemark. Parker will work on Movement’s new Adventure Line: Fat lightweights for that are versatile for backcountry, sidecountry, and freeride touring.
